Ten on Tuesday

It's a little after 8 and I've still got some things to do tonight before bed but I wanted to get a post up before it got too late and I didn't get around it. Today I present to you my Ten on Tuesday!!!

1. Photos
I've got an overload of photos for you today. I told you last night that I took the kids to Mom's yesterday so she could take photos of them. While we didn't get the perfect Christmas Card photo we were looking for, we did get some cute shots!! I must say, I make pretty babies :)

2. Storytime
My Niece Kesley took Annalee to Storytime today. It's held at our public library. They were having their Halloween Party and Little Miss had a blast. She dressed up like a Rainbow Unicorn and looked absolutely precious. They had food, deserts, made crafts and went Trick or Treating around the library. She got loads of candy! Here is her crafts she made, with Kelsey's help of course.

3. Hubby Time
I didn't have a full plate at work today so I decided to go in late. Hubby is on 2nd shift and I was missing him so I decided to spend the morning with him WITHOUT kids. We cuddled, talked, had KFC for lunch and even accomplished adding my name to our checking and saving accounts. It was something we had needed to do for some time now but was waiting on my new SS Card to come in.

4. I Love My Job
I literally went to the Courthouse today at 1:00 and left at 3:30. I had everything I needed to do some work from home tonight. It's so nice to have that flexibility.

5. Thrift Shopping
I hit up another new to me thrift store today. That is one of the advantages of traveling. I see LOTS of new places to shop, eat and visit. This was a little store pretty much out in the head of no where. The selection was limited but they had nice things and very reasonable rates. I grabbed a Lands End Puffer Vest and a Long Skirt for myself. They did have a nice Area Rug that I might go back and get at a later date.

6. Pumpkin Carving

Dustin's Pumpkin

Anika's Pumpkin

Axle's Pumpkin

Annalee's Pumpkin

Mom picked Ax up from school today and picked Lee up from the sitter. She took them to her house for the evening. I stopped by Walmart on my way home & got some pumpkins and then headed to Mom's. We spent the evening there carving pumpkins. We got dinner too, Baked Spaghetti and Salads. A great way to spend a Tuesday evening.

7. The Weather
Oh my word, the weather has been beyond perfect today. We hit a high of 82 degrees with a nice breeze and tonight it's still 79 degrees out. I just wish it would last. Unfortunately there is cold weather on the way. It's supposed to rain and be in the 60's tomorrow & then snow showers this weekend. I am NOT ready for snow!!!

8. Around the House
I still feel like I'm drowning a little. The place is a wreck and needs some massive organization. My To Do List is NEVER done and I'm always adding more to it every single day. I'm just trying to do the whole one day at a time thing right now. I'm thinking of hiring a housekeeper to get rid of some of that stress.

9. Home Binder
My Home Binder is coming along. I'm actually finding it useful and reaching for it every day. It's nothing fancy but it's working for me. I may show you all some of it soon.

10. Tomorrow
My plans for tomorrow are actually limited. I plan on working for awhile tomorrow morning. Hubby was going to take Anika to the dentist in the morning but I rescheduled it so he wouldn't have to get up so insanely early after working all night. Tomorrow evening I plan on getting everything ready for Trick or Treat and catching up on some things around here. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some time to blog read too. Hey, it could happen!!!

Hope you guys are having a nice week
It's almost mid week and that is always good, right?

Time is NOT my friend

Time has not been on my side lately. I feel like I go to bed every night with a To Do List still a mile long. I wake up in the mornings only to ADD to that list. It's an adjustment period for me I suppose but I'm tired. Most nights I'm totally exhausted and tonight is one of those nights.

I didn't blog yesterday. I had time but chose to use that time with my family instead. Priorities people!

We had a nice Sunday. It was Homecoming at our Church so we all got up and went EVEN the husband. That made this girls heart very happy. It was a good service. We had guest singers and a guest pastor. The kids behaved fairly well. I think they were just happy to have their daddy with us. The dinner after Church was amazing. Those women can sure cook. I filled up on Chicken n Dumplings, Ham, Side Dishes and Carrot Cake pretty quickly.

After Church my Hubby went and got a truck. I suppose this is the one he's going to keep. We shall see! My Niece's were down for a visit so we all sat outside and the little one's played.

After a full day of hanging outside, the big kids (Dustin and Anika) went with Kelsey and Troy to get a Beagle Dog and to my Mom's house. While they were away, I did some house straightening, laundry, errands, etc. Really nothing too exciting but all things that needed done.

Ax and the Hubby caught Lee napping so they did a little 4-wheeler riding around the yard. Boys and their toys.

We had a pretty uneventful evening and night. Our friends Christie and Johnny stopped by for a few minutes but other than that we just hung out. The kids got all bathed and ready for bed while I laid out everything for a new week.

It was pretty much a great Sunday!!

Today has been crazy busy! I worked all day in West Virginia. Ax went to school (no tears) this morning and Anika went to Mom's for Homeschool. Lee Lee stayed with the babysitter today after Hubby left for work.

The kids definitely had a good day today. After the babysitter picked them up, they went to our Community Center and played in the Play Zone & Arcade. They definitely loved that.

I finished up at the Courthouse around 3:30 today. I had to make a stop by Walmart to get the Hubby a watch and some stuff for dinner before coming home. Thankfully when I got home the sitter had both the kids cleaned up so we loaded into the car and headed to Mom's house. Mom has been hounding me about wanting to take Fall Photos of the kids forever so I decided to go ahead and do it today. Unfortunately, the kids were tired so they didn't cooperate but hopefully we got a few shots that were decent. I'll post them as soon as I upload them.

We got home around 7:00 tonight. I got the house straightened up, supper cooked and clothes laid out for tomorrow. Their is dishes and laundry in the wash as we speak. I'll be turning in shortly because my Little One's are exhausted and NEED sleep!!!!

Tomorrow I'll be working from home some and from the Courthouse some! It should be another busy day. The temps are supposed to hit 80 though and we are supposed to have sunshine so I'm loving that.

Hope everyone is having a good week thus far. Just think, it's one day less to the weekend now :)

Choosing to have a Good Day

In an effort to get back into the swing of blogging, I decided to blog tonight even though I don't have one single photo to share. I'm going to seriously HAVE to learn to use my IPhone for pictures until I buy another camera. Posting without pictures just drives me insane.

I'll be the first to admit that sometimes I can be a big huge baby. Blame it on my parent's and the fact that I'm an only child. I like things to go my way, I just do. I guess that is true for most of us though. The problem is when things don't go the way I want, I can be quite hateful, throw a tantrum, etc. You get the picture. Anyway, I WANTED to get out and about today. I was hoping we could take the kids to an amusement park or something. Well, that didn't happen. Honestly, it was a money issue more than anything. I still haven't gotten my first check from my job yet so finances have been tight the last few weeks. Initially I went into moping mode and got annoyed but then I decided to suck it up and make the best of the day and what it held. I'm glad I did too. It ended up being a pretty nice Saturday!

Here's a few things I LOVED about our day today!!!

* I loved getting to sleep in. Isn't that what weekends are for?

* I loved that although my teeth still ached, it wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday. Hopefully the antibiotics I'm taking are working.

* I loved that I got to stay in my pj's for the biggest part of the day

* I loved the dinner I fixed tonight- Hamburger Steak, Shells n Cheese & Scalloped Potatoes. Absolutely delicious.

* I loved that the weather was just perfect. It wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold. The kids loved it too, they played outside pretty much all day.

* I loved that I was able to take my Grandma something she needed and spend some time with her. She isn't doing well so all prayers for her would be appreciated.

* I loved that Anika and Dustin got to go bowling with their friends today & then spent their Saturday night at Church watching an outdoor showing of "God is Not Dead".

* I loved that I made tons of laundry progress. It's almost ALL done!!

* I loved that I was able to call a friend who I haven't talked to in forever and we could just pick up as if no time had passed at all.

* I loved that I made more progress on my Home Binder. I finished up (for the most part) our financial section. My next section will be Meal Planning.

* I loved that we were able to take Lee and Ax on a Hayride tonight.

* I loved that when we got done with the Hayride, Lee Lee said "FUN!!!"

* I loved that I made time to sit down and watch two really good Lifetime Movies

* I loved that my kids returned home safely tonight

It's pushing 1:00 am so I better get my butt in bed. We have Homecoming at Church tomorrow and then we are taking the kids to play Mini Golf and pick Pumpkins. Definitely a great Sunday planned.

Hope you all enjoy however you decide to spend your Sunday :)

I've Been MIA

It's been so long since I've blogged that I really don't even know where to start. I've procrastinated posting for days now because I dreaded having to try and play catch up. When I finally did decide a few days ago to sit down and catch up, I realized I had lost my camera so then I decided to wait until I found it to post. Well, I found it last night and unfortunately, it was broken. I do have a few photos to share though that were already on my memory card so I'll go ahead and share those & get that part out of the way.

Our Hen and Rooster are seriously the friendliest animals ever

Okay so where to start on catching up!! I think I'll just give you a brief run down on some of our happenings!

* My Aunt Millie came home. She used to date my Uncle (for 17 year). I grew up with her being my Aunt. Once I got to be an adult (young adult), they split. I hadn't saw her for 14 year. She came to visit with the kids and I last weekend. We went shopping, ate Chinese and then had a Slumber Party. Very good times :)

* The kids Halloween costumes are BOUGHT!!!! Actually Lee has two. Initially she was going to be a Rainbow Unicorn but then today she found a Minnie Mouse she just loved so we bought it too.

* Hubby traded for yet another truck. It's sitting in our garage. He says it's a nice ride, I say it's junk!!

* Anika has been to Haunted Houses for the past two weekends. That is where she is now actually. She loves those things! Tonight they went on a Haunted Boat Ride and then to a Haunted Trail. Last weekend they did a whole Haunted Adventure that included shooting paintballs at zombies!

* I finally got to watch "Heaven is For Real." I must say, I LOVED it!!! Such a great movie and even better that I got to watch it while snuggling on the couch with my Hubby.

* We skipped Church last Sunday. This Sunday we will definitely be going though. It's our Homecoming Service.

* Last Sunday I got my house in top notch shape. I worked on it all day long. It already looks like a disaster zone again though

* I'm still working in West Virginia. I actually enjoy the Courthouse there. I don't enjoy the drive much though. It only takes a little over an hour to get there but it's mostly 2 lane back roads so that is a pain! I'm just thankful to be working, so no complaining from me.

* I received Anika's progress report for the month of October the other day. She has all A's and B's. I'm so proud of her. She is learning so much this year.

* For the past two days I've had TERRIBLE lower teeth pain. They just have a constant dull ache. I'm thinking it's sinus/allergy related so I started an antibiotic today to see if it helps. Praying it does.

* Hubby has been on dayshift all week this week and I've loved it. Dreading him going back on 2nd shift next week already.

* I'm still getting dressed everyday and I'm still enjoying it. Getting out of sweats and tees has done so much for my confidence.

* Ax is continuing to do pretty well in school. He's definitely adjusting

* Lee Lee got her mouth busted the other day on the swingset. There was blood and the whole 9 yards. Poor Lee, she is absolutely accident prone.

* I'm enjoying the days I'm able to work from home. This week I worked 2 days from home and it's such a blessing to be here with my kids.

* Laundry is still a HUGE issue around here. It's going to be the death of me

* Anika got her hair trimmed today and a conditioning treatment put on it. It's looking so much healthier.

* Ax and Lee both picked out glasses today and they should be ready for them sometime next week. They both looked so darn cute. I just hope they will wear them

* Mom and her Sisters returned safely from their trip to Nashville. They had a blast. I'm so glad they got to go again this year.

* I've been thinking about Thanksgiving Plans but we have decided nothing yet really. We do know however that we will be spending Christmas in The Great Smoky Mountains!

Really, that is about it. I'm going to do better with blogging. I'm actually going to try and set up a system to where I can blog more- we shall see if it works. These days I'm in ORGANIZATION mode, hence why I've been tackling my Home Management Binder. I'm still not doing great with the whole working mom thing but I'll get there. I guess adjustments and changes just take time.

Unfortunately, even when I do manage to blog, photos will be limited till I can get a new camera. Bear with me, I get my FIRST paycheck next Friday so you shouldn't have to wait to long.

Friends- hope you guys are doing well. I'm off to visit some of your blogs now.

Have a great weekend
Angie
