A Rainy Tuesday

I had plans to blog last night and it just didn't happen. I'd be lying if I told you it was because I was super busy. In reality it was because I started watching Chicago Fire. I've never been one to watch television but Hubby had just finished watching an episode of something when I flipped through the channels and Chicago Fire had just came on. I was actually making a To Do List & had no plans of watching it but somehow got sucked in. It may now be my favorite new show!

I didn't have a lot to blog about last night anyway. Our weather has been crappy, lots of rain, so we have been pretty much just hanging here at the house. I'll just bullet a few important parts of our day yesterday and we will call it done, shall we?

* I had to wake up at 5:00 with the Hubby. Okay I didn't have to but I did. Let me just tell you that it is NOT in my genetic makeup to be a morning person. I seriously HATE mornings.

* I woke these two beauties for school. I can't resist taking a picture of them sleeping. Is there anything more precious than watching your child sleep? I think not.

* Ax was actually very cooperative about school yesterday morning. He got up and got dressed with no problems. I think it was because he was excited to use the umbrella. Sometimes it's the little things that make all the difference in the world!

* My Anika looked beautiful yesterday morning as usual. I swear it's unbelievable to me that she is almost 16 years old :(

* After I got everyone off to school, I did what any responsible adult would do, I went back to bed! Annalee and I ended up sleeping till 10:00 am.

* When we woke I threw some clothes on Lee Lee and brushed her hair. I didn't get time to dress myself but I did get my hair brushed.

* I had an appointment with the First Steps lady at 11:00. They come here to the house for all of our meetings which is super nice. She is very prompt though and showed up at exactly 11:00. She asked a million questions that I think I've answered at least 3 times already. We finally have a date set for the therapist to come out. He will be here next Tuesday. Our meeting lasted 2 whole hours and by the time she left it was already 1:00.

* I ended up going straight on up and picking up Ax from school. He panics if I'm late. I must tell you, I looked like I just crawled out of bed. I'm glad I didn't see anyone too important.

* We came home and the kids did their normal routine. They had a snack, got some milk, watched cartoons and napped. I spent some of their nap time counting out change. I ended up finding almost $70.00 in silver!

* I also used their nap time to straighten up my kitchen and FINALLY get myself dressed for the day. I couldn't resist a picture of my cute shoes. Don't you love these? They came from Avon!

* Speaking of Avon, it's kind of an addiction for me. I placed my new order yesterday!! Here's what I got:

I'm hoping this makes me look all sun kissed

I seriously can't wait to try these. I've heard really good things about them :)

* My kids ended up waking up around 3:30 so we had to make a trip to town and run some errands. We got caught in a downpour and I got sopping wet. Such is life I guess. I had to pull off the road once because I couldn't see. It was like buckets full of water falling from the sky!

* We didn't have to pick up Anika from school because my Dad picked her and Dustin up. He needed Dustin to help him unload some privacy fence yesterday evening and then him and Mom to them to the movies to see Heaven is for Real. Anika said it was good but not as good as God Is Not Dead!

* The little one's and I did a bit more housework and started supper. We pretty much just hung out till Hubby got home. Of course when he got home they both headed straight out the door with him. The rain had stopped but it was a big huge muddy mess out. My little two had a blast playing in the puddles and of course Ax had to get his motorcycle out and ride through the mud!

* We had Baked Ravioli for dinner last night and it was pretty good! Ax even ate some so that was a plus!

* Hubby's parent's stopped by and I notarized a Title for them. They stayed for awhile and hung out with they kids. They even got to see Anika because she made it home before they left.

* I had planned on planting Ax's watermelon BUT the ground just didn't dry up enough. I really NEED to get it planted, it's getting so big!

* We ended up coming in around 8 last night and I bathed my little one's first thing. They were muddy as pigs! I gave them both some tub paint to play with. Lee Lee didn't enjoy it all the much but Ax sure did. Lee Lee was much more content playing with her balloon.

* Everyone was in the bed last night before 10 EXCEPT for me. I stayed up too late watching television which is why I almost overslept this morning. I will never learn!

It's raining here again this morning although I guess I can't complain. We are so fortunate to not have had any severe weather unlike so many other places. My heart just aches for all those that are suffering right now.

Our day isn't going to be all that interesting today. I have a meeting at Axle's school at 1:30 but other than that, we will be taking it easy.

I hope you all have a nice Wednesday
I'll be back later :)

I've Come to Realize

Okay, I had this plan to blog read like a mad woman tonight while Hubby and the Kids were sleeping. I tried, I really did BUT my Internet had other plans. My connection tonight for whatever reason pretty much sucks. Trying to get a page to load is next to impossible so I gave up and decided to go ahead and post my post for tonight instead. Maybe it's a good thing. I'm sure if I was able to blog read I'd just end up staying up way too late.

Today has been rainy and I've been very lazy. I figure a rainy Monday equals a lazy Monday, right? Yep, that was the logic I used! I don't really have all that much to tell tonight and I sure don't have many photos but I'll give you what I got. You know me, I don't like to miss a day of posting. One of these days I hope my family looks back on these posts and loves reading them...even the boring one's like this!

I'm just going to share a few Monday Realizations with you. I know, exciting stuff!!!

Today I Realized

* That I cannot sleep an extra 2 hours after Hubby leaves for work. It results in us oversleeping like we did today! Anika made it to school around 11:00 am but Ax didn't make it at all.

* That having a boyfriend makes my daughter determined to go to school everyday. That is a good thing I guess.

* That my kids LOVE to torture me by not allowing me to take photos of them. See below photos as evidence! Annalee refused a smile and Ax refused a picture.

* That eating breakfast at school everyday has now became part of Axle's routine. The first words out of his mouth this morning was "I'm Hungry."

* That Annalee enjoys Biscuits and Gravy much better than Pancakes! She ended up eating 1/2 of mine.

* That the one thing Ax does to annoy me the most is tortures Lee. He stomps toward her with a mean look on his face, blanket in hand and throws it over her head and then runs. She thinks it's terrifying, he thinks it's hilarious and I think it's seriously annoying. I guess that is what big brothers are for!

* That it's almost the end of the month and I need to do a goals update and monthly recap. I also need to post my goals for May. Be looking for that post tomorrow!

* That I sucked at my April goals and I'm not even kidding. Hopefully next month will be better

* That I am completely overbooked for Saturday. I have a gender reveal and birthday party to go to and the time frame clashes. No idea what I'll do now!

* That I look at my calendar every single morning and update it if needed. I'd be so lost without it.

* That Summer is fast approaching and I'd like to have a Summer Plan in place before school goes out. I'm going to have to think about that!

* That we have SO much we want to do and I have no idea how we will ever afford it all. I'm not going to stress about it, we will figure it out.

* That I got too wrapped up in this whole severe weather event they have been forecasting. I've seriously been obsessing over it since Saturday Evening. I've worried myself to death. Luckily it turned out to be nothing, no tornadoes were even forecast for here.

* That not everyone was so lucky with this weather event and I pray for all those affected

* That I didn't want to change out of my flannel pajama pants and white tee, so I didn't. Yep, I am seriously skanking it!

* That I really NEED to get some of my Winter Clothes put away. My closet is way overcrowded. I just didn't have the motivation to do it today though

* That no matter how much laundry I do, there will ALWAYS be more laundry!

* That I might as well build Dustin a room, he's here everyday

* That my kids nap time is my favorite time of day. I'm a terrible parent, I know!

* That we never received our State Refund. I tried calling them but no one was available to talk with me. Go figure.

* That I REALLY want a date night with the Hubby and soon!!!!

* That my son is going to be the death of my nerves. He spent 1/2 the evening doing donuts on his motorcycle in our yard. It's only a matter of time till he turns that thing over.

* That my Husband does not help my nerves either. He actually had Annalee on the motorcycle letting Axle ride her around. There are no pictures because I was too busy having a panic attack!

* That my daughter is a strange creature. She came through the house sporting Dustin's khakis. I swear she's a goofball.

* That I cannot fix cornbread. I seriously just can't do it. I have no idea why but it turns out terrible every single time.

* That Soup Beans and Pickled Corn may just be my favorite meal- For Real!!!

* That my car should have a flashing sign on it that says Taxi...I'm always running someone here or there

* That my son is FINALLY on a decent sleep schedule and I couldn't be more happy :)

* That I stay up too late every single night. I'm doing better but still not great!

With that said, I'm off of here. I've got to get my butt in bed
Tomorrow will be busy for us and I need the rest

Hope everyone is having a nice start to the week and stays safe during these storms

Till Tomorrow,
Angie

Why Can't Every Day be a Weekend?

It's definitely been another wonderful day around here. Why can't everyday be a weekend? I have to be honest, I woke in a terrible mood this morning. I think it had something to do with my husband NOT knowing how to go to bed at a decent hour. Yes, this drives me crazy and I know I gripe about it a lot BUT 2 am is seriously ridiculous. Anyway, I overslept for Church which just totally frustrated me. That in itself put me in a pretty snappy mood. Luckily Anika didn't oversleep though and Mom picked her up and took her. She looked beautiful this morning but I forgot to take a picture. Sorry about that, you will just have to take my word for it. Dustin went with them this morning too. I'm really glad she's found someone who enjoys Church like she does.

When Mom picked her up she brought me two pairs of shorts. I'm always thankful for shorts because I have a hard time finding any I like. These were actually handed down to her from my Aunt but didn't fit her. They fit me perfect. Total Score!!!

I finally got myself motivated enough to take a shower around 11 am. Ax and Hubby went outside and started working on getting the boat ready and Annalee stayed in the bathroom with me. I swear that child loves water. From outside of the tub she managed to soak the floor and herself. It is terribly hard to bath with her in the room with me but somehow I manage.

After I showered I ran to town to get some stuff we needed. I grabbed some hotdogs and snack food, some charcoal and some plates. I also found the piece to fix our toilet which made me very happy. Now if I can get Hubby to actually fix it tomorrow, I'll be even happier. Thirty minutes and $50.00 later I had everything we needed and headed back home. It's so ridiculous that it pretty much costs $50.00 to do anything.

We hung around a bit & waited on Anika and Dustin to get home. When mom dropped them off she wanted to take Lee Lee back home with her and I was happy to let her. Lee wasn't having a great morning and I knew she'd be happier at Nan's than boating with us.

We finally got left and arrived at the lake around 1:30. It was definitely a perfect boating day. The weather was gorgeous. Our boat ran good, it's faster than I expected. The kids of course loved it. We knew my Uncle and His Wife were at the lake too so we hunted them up first thing.

They were eager to show us their first catch of the day

We hung out on the Pontoon with them awhile and chatted. Axle fished some but was very inpatient. I guess that is just the personality of a 3 year old. We snacked on chips and Rice Krispie Treats and had a great time.

After hanging out with them awhile we ventured out to boat ride some more. Our crew loves just riding around the lake. I can't blame them, it's purely relaxing. As I sit in the seat today with the wind blowing in my face, I wondered WHY I let the little things get to me. I'm so blessed not to be happy all the time :)

My sweet girl...she's just so perfect to me!

We saw tubers..it was warm, NOT that warm!

We started getting hungry so we pulled the boat into a boat in campsite. The nice thing about this lake is that they have campsites only accessible by boat. If there is no one on them, they let you use them to picnic, grill, etc. Today we had our pick of sites as there was only one group of people camping on the whole lakeside. We fired up the grill and made some hotdogs. We had chips to go with them. They were actually really good. The kids played and it was tons of fun!

My Aunt and Uncle stopped by and had a Hot Dog with us and then our friends Christy & Brandon stopped by with their boys. It was fun just socializing with everyone. After our bellies digested, we hit the water for one last ride before heading home. Christy & Brandon followed us up the lake!

They had a great time

He LOVES to drive!!!

As bad as we hated to, we started toward the docks to load up about 6:00. On our way off the water we saw my cousin and her husband & little boy. They had just got on the water to do some evening fishing. We didn't get to stop so we just yelled and waved at them on the way by. I of course snapped a photo!

My cousin and her family!

As bad as we hated to, we got the boat loaded up and headed towards home. We were all exhausted. Something about the sun and water just drains you! Ax wanted to nap on the way home but I wouldn't let him. I knew if he did I'd never get him in bed tonight for school tomorrow.

We got home, unloaded the boat and then Anika and I ran Dustin home. Poor Dustin had taken a migraine and was feeling pretty rough. I'm hoping he feels better tomorrow. We then ran on up Mom's and picked up Little Lee. Let me tell ya, the girl was glad to see us. She of course had a great day with Mom but she gets so excited every time I pull in the driveway. Mom said they had spent the majority of the day planting flowers. That is right up Lee's alley, she loves dirt! We visited with them for a bit and then came home. I made Anika take a pic of Lee on the way home. Mom put her hair in pigtails and it was SO CUTE!!!!

The kids hung outside with Hubby for awhile after we got home. I was glad, it gave Anika and I some time to do some housework. This place needed it, things were starting to look like a battle zone around here. We got everything straightened up, the clean laundry put away and the trash took out. When we were done it looked so much better. I'm glad I don't have to get up in the morning now and face that mess.

Lee went to sleep fairly easy tonight. Hubby hung out in the garage with his friend Brandon for a bit. They were trying to get an old digger plow to run. They had no luck, too bad cause I was wanting them to plow me up a garden. Hubby came in around 9:00 and hit the sack and Ax went with him. Anika's still rambling around doing who knows what. I'm going to have to hit the sack soon too!

Please take a moment and pray for a girl I know named Jessie. She was in a pretty serious ATV Accident last night and they flew her out just a bit ago. She has several broken bones but they also believe she has a brain bleed. She's a wonderful girl and needs all the prayers she can get.

Also, please pray for ALL those getting hit by these storms. We are in a slight risk for severe weather tomorrow and I'm praying it doesn't get too bad. I hate storms.

Well, that does it for me. Time to go get ready for a new week ahead. Tomorrow morning I'll be helping my Mom clean my Grandma's house but other than that, we have nothing planned for the day.

Hope you and yours have had a great weekend and have a wonderful week ahead!!!
